R.A.C.E.S.- Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services is part of Civil
Defense. This group provides communication between government
agencies during times of a declared emergency.
GSBARC helps to support RACES for the Town of Babylon. GSBARC repeaters
are used to support RACES for the Town of Babylon during times of emergency and public
events. Also a
weekly net is held on the 440.850 repeater every Monday
evening at 20:15 ( 8:15 PM EST ) or at the conclusion of Newsline on the 2M repeater.
Meetings are held when called by the radio officer. Meeting anouncements will go out via the Groups.io page.

Following the NYS RACES Net - the RACES Digital net is on Frequency 3.583.500MHz USB, 1500 on the waterfall in either Olivia8-500, MSFK32, Thor22, MT63-500S.
