2015 Hudson Awards

I am so very pleased to announce the 2015 Hudson Division Award
winners.  We received the most nominations ever this year -- 35
nominations were received representing the entire Hudson Division.
From the southern to the northern part of the Division.  From the
eastern to the western ends of the Division, all areas were well
represented with very worthy individuals who have had an impact on
Amateur Radio in the Hudson Division.

This year we've decided to award an "Amateur of the Year" in each
Section.  We also have two "Grand Ol Hams" and one awardee for
Technical Achievement.

The winners are:

Rachel Weiss AJ4WD  -  Amateur of the Year
Bruce Baccaro K2ULZ - Amateur of the Year
John Melfi W2HCB  -  Amateur of the Year
Hal Post AK2E  -  Grand Ol' Ham
Jay Buscemi NY2NY  -  Grand Ol' Hamd
Blair Hearth KD2EPA - Technical Achievement

Please join me in congratulating them and please support their
achievement by joining them at the 2015 Hudson Division Awards Luncheon
on November 8, 2015.

Tickets for the event are now being sold.  At the moment, only checks
can be accepted as payment.  To purchase tickets, please go to the
Hudson Division website (hudson.arrl.org), print out the ticket order
form, and mail it in following the instructions on the page.  Here is

Tickets this year are $42.50 per person.  The restaurant is set up with
smaller tables so there is no table discount.

All proceeds this year will be donated to the ARRL Legislative Issues
Advocacy Fund.  Most money is raised by advertising sales.  Please
consider taking an ad this year in the Awards Journal.  The prices are
$30 for a quarter page, $50 a half page and $100 a full page.  To take
an ad, please print out this form and mail it with a check as
instructed on the form.  Here is the link:

The form is available in either a PDF or Word format.

The past 2 years we have raised nearly $10,000 that has been donated to
the ARRL.  The money this year will once again be used to help offset
the expenditures we’ve been making in support of our HR-1301/S.1685
advocacy effort.

I hope to see you at the luncheon on Sunday, November 8, 2015!
